Virtual World

It’s amazing to see where everything is going. A couple of days a ago I came across an article in Inc. magazine about this Virtual World called Second Life created by Philip Rosedale, CEO of Linden Lab. It’s a place where you create a new name (mine is Java Koba) and an avatar of yourself which you can change at anytime. You can interact with people all from over the world, go to night clubs and buy and sell clothes, land, islands, ads .. pretty much anything with Linden dollars. These dollars can then be converted in US dollars. So, yes you can make money in Second Life. Alot of the big companies have taken notice and are starting to build their own communities in this new world. One of the first was American Apparel. It’s free to join and worth checking out to see why over 3 million people have joined on. It’s quite an amazing experience.
I know this has nothing to do with Beauty but worth the mention and also leads me into my post for the day.

If you’re interested in having any plastic surgery done, you can now see how it will turn out in a 3D version. Locateadoc.com has developed a new virtual interactive tool that guides prospective patients through a 3D demonstration of plastic surgery procedures, giving them a realistic idea of surgery options, cost and healing time. The tool is very easy to use and fun to fool around with.
