There are many methods of getting rid of unwanted body hair such as waxing, sugaring, tweezing, threading, photolight hair removal, laser hair removal, electrolysis and the epilar system - which epilar has worked for me - there has been very little regrowth and it’s been well over a year since i used it. I’m sure if i continued the treatment it would be completely gone. Here’s the post incase you want to check it out. For the epilar treatment however you do need to go to a spa offering this since it cannot be purchased for home use. Typically costs will be slightly less then having a laser done but more treatments will be needed and of course no chance of scarring.
If you are looking for a more permanent method of hair removal you may want to do electrolysis. In order for hair to be permanently removed - gone forever - the hair bulb needs to be destroyed and electrolysis is considered to be the only method of permanent hair removal. There are three methods: Galvanic, which uses a direct current and causes chemical decomposition of the hair follicle; Thermolysis, which uses high frequency to produce heat to destory the follicle; or Blend, which is a combination of both systems and sends an electric current through a fine needle. Electrolysis can also be done in the privacy of your home if you don’t want to go to a spa and pay which can get costly over several treatments. The Verseo ePen
makes this easy and inexpensive. Using the same technology used by professionals in the beauty industry it safely removes hair from lip, face, bikini, back and pretty much anywhere — it may ouch a little but just think no more hair!

I’m not sure if alot of you are familiar with threading as a hair removal technique. But I wanted to mention it because when I was in Esthetician school an Asian classmate turned me onto it. It was something she had actually taught herself many years ago and after I decided to have my lip hair threaded by her I knew I would never go back to waxing my upper lip again.
So what is threading and how does it work? Basically the licensed esthetician or practitioner uses a good length of cotton thread and holds one end in her teeth and the other in one hand. The middle is then looped through the index and middle fingers of the free hand. The loop is the part of the thread that grabs and pulls the unwanted hairs from the skin. Hair removal is quick and slightly stinging from the hairs being pulled out but very clean. I had no redness or irritation that you may get from waxing.
Recommended for upper lip and eyebrows but I’m not sure how well this would work on other parts of the body. I would probably say to stick with waxing for legs, underarms and other larger areas. Results with threading can also last longer then waxing.

Today was such a beautiful day in San Diego. It made me realize that beach days are almost here and therefore more skin to reveal. Smooth skin is in so hair needs to disappear. Thankfully there are methods and some which i have mentioned in previous posts. Of course i always seem to find a another product which can do the trick and of course i need to share. The Verseo ePen developed in Europe uses a galvanic technology, where the ePen transmits a special current to the root of the hair and permanently removes the hair follicle. Permanent home electrolysis results can be achieved in just one treatment. The Verseo ePen is painless, safe and easy to use. The ePen is compact and lightweight, easy to carry just about anywhere.
The Verseo ePen
removes hair on your face, upper lip, legs, bikini line and even your back with of course a little bit of help. There are also self-adhesive body pads available that help to remove hair from large areas. For all the details on the ePen click here.

Finally Ladies, an at home laser hair remover! This product is from
a company whose products I absolutely love! I had also mentioned their Body Purifying Foot Pads in an earlier post. I haven’t received them yet but will update you once i do. In the meantime I ordered the at home Laser Hair Remover which of course is on back order due to the giant demand. Anyhow, I can’t wait to use it. No more shaving! How wonderful would that be.
The at home laser hair removal product from GAIAM is pain-free and affordable…. it’s only $99. Think of all the money you will save from waxing visits to your spa or going to a medical spa for laser hair removal treatments. The laser hair remover uses a pulsating beam of light to permanently eliminate facial, leg or underarm hair. Studies show that it normally takes up to 7 treatments for lasting results but most people see results alot sooner. This is a must have for any woman who hates to shave.
Visit GAIAM
to order. Product ID number 15-1009 or Search Laser Hair Remover.
